Early Intervention Programme in Singapore
Recognise These Signs Early and Improve your Child's Quality of Life!
Every Child is Born with a Unique Skill Set!
While each child progresses at their own pace, understanding potential red flags for developmental delays is beneficial. You may notice that your child isn't keeping up with peers or siblings, indicating significant lags in emotional, mental, or physical growth. Early intervention is crucial in addressing such delays and aiding your child's progress.
Common developmental delays that may indicate the need for early intervention include:
-
Speech or language (e.g., not understanding or using age-appropriate language, unclear speech)
-
Motor skills (e.g., not able to grasp writing materials or use utensils, challenges in walking or running)
-
Social skills and communication (e.g., trouble with social interactions, making eye contact, engaging in play, sharing, taking turns)
-
Social emotional (e.g., difficulties recognizing emotions in self and others, regulating emotions, frequent meltdowns)
-
Cognitive skills (e.g., difficulties in attention, concentration, following instructions)
-
Sensory processing (e.g., oversensitivity or under-sensitivity to stimuli like touch, sound, taste, smell and movement)
-
Adaptive behaviour (e.g., challenges in performing activities of daily living independently, such as dressing, feeding, grooming, toileting, and following routines)
-
Academic (e.g., struggles with pre-academic skills such as letter recognition, number concepts, shapes, colours, reading readiness, writing skills.
These developmental delays can vary in severity and combination, and early identification and intervention through our Early Intervention Programme (EIP) can significantly improve outcomes and support your child in reaching their full potential.
Our Holistic Approach
Caregivers and parents play a crucial role in our Early Intervention Programme (EIP) as they spend the most time with the child. In order to ensure that the child applies what he/she learns in our centre to the home and school environment in Singapore, we aim to equip caregivers with the necessary skills and knowledge to confidently guide their child in doing so.

We will work with caregivers on areas such as:

-
Implementing Home-Based Activities
-
Creating a Supportive Environment at Home
-
Communication Strategies
-
Behaviour Management Techniques
-
Collaboration with School Professionals

By equipping caregivers and parents with these skills and knowledge, we aim to create a collaborative and supportive approach that maximises your child's progress and success across multiple environments. Together, we can create a positive and enriching experience that promotes holistic development and well-being for your child.
What does this mean for your child?
MindChamps Allied Care Early Intervention Programme (EIP) is designed to prepare your child for various educational pathways, ensuring readiness for mainstream or Special Education schools in Singapore.
At our centre, your child will receive personalised care from trained early intervention teachers and assistant teachers in a nurturing environment. You may also choose to tap on our multidisciplinary team of Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Educational Therapists, Associate Psychologists, and registered Psychologists to work with your child according to their needs. This is subject to an additional fee.
Within 6 to 8 weeks of enrolment, you will receive an Individual Education Plan (IEP) tailored to your child.
The IEP guides our efforts in achieving specific goals aligned with your child’s developmental needs, as assessed by professionals and discussed with caregivers. We review and update this plan every 6 months at the Parents-Teacher Conference (PTC), ensuring continuous progress and alignment with your child's evolving needs and goals.
Why MindChamps Allied Care EIP?
MindChamps Allied Care EIP vs. Other Early Intervention Programmes

Among many choices for Early Intervention Programme for Infants and Children (EIPIC) in the market, our EIP stands out for its strong framework tapping on AEPS (Assessment, Evaluation, and Programming System for Infants and Children), a comprehensive, proven, reliable and highly regarded system that has been helping children for decades.
More than an assessment or a curriculum, the AEPS’s components yield educationally relevant, meaningful and functional information that is used to formulate developmentally appropriate goals and objectives for children. These goals and objectives are also closely addressed in the curriculum so as to achieve optimal progress for the children.
Our Early Intervention Programme’s core intervention approach utilises AEPS, a curriculum and criterion-based system which serves to:
-
Identify children’s strengths and emerging skills across developmental areas
-
Identify functional goals and objectives for Individual Education Plans (IEPs) or other individualised plans
-
Assist in planning and guiding interventions
-
Monitor children’s progress over time
How can the Individual Education Plan help your Child?
An Individual Education Plan (IEP) that encompasses relevant and realistic goals offers customised learning solutions for children with varied learning needs. This means that instead of trying to fit your child into generic learning plans that he/she may not benefit from, using an IEP will ensure that your child is taught in ways that result in the best outcomes. Your child will get to learn academic and other key developmental skills in a safe and fun therapeutic context customised to suit their individual strengths and abilities.

-
Write Individual Education Plan goals and objectives that are meaningful and realistic
-
Create embedded learning opportunities to prioritise IEP goals and objectives
-
Develop links between assessment, goal development and an activity-based approach to intervention
-
Effectively monitor children’s progress towards IEP goals and objectives embedded throughout daily activities
AEPS will be used by teachers and therapists to:
