Christelle Menaga
Early Intervention Teacher
Christelle facilitates initial screening sessions and crafts individual educational and behavioural goals and lesson plans that are aligned to each child’s learning capabilities to enhance the learning and development of children with special needs. She has worked in collaboration with school psychologists, counsellors and therapists in ensuring the goals set are specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time-framed (SMART).
Christelle is also trained in Therapeutic Play which employs different mediums to aid children in self-expression and help them better cope with emotional regulation. She strongly believes that learning through play gives children opportunities to learn a myriad of concepts in a stress-free environment, and in a way that interests them. This may lead to a positive attitude towards learning and school, build up social skills like teamwork, negotiation and conflict resolution through interactions with other children, and improve gross motor skills and dexterity through running around and playing with intricate toys.
