Goh Hui Chin
Educational Psychologist
Hui Chin is a registered psychologist with the Singapore Psychological Society with over 10 years of experience in the public and international school settings. She graduated from the National University of Singapore with an honour’s degree in Psychology, and obtained her Master of Arts (Applied Psychology) from the National Institute of Education, Singapore.

In the course of her career, Hui Chin has been trained in the Orton-Gillingham Approach, the Barton Reading and Spelling Programme, and Numeracy concepts. The educational interventions she designs seek to create awareness, deepen metacognitive skills and encourage a sense of agency.

Ever since her undergraduate days, Hui Chin has been intrigued by the expandable quality of the mind when well-suited learning structures are put in place. She has undergraduate research experience into how the brain learns and processes language (psycholinguistics), as well as the connections between a student’s goals, motivation and performance.

Hui Chin believes that all children learn differently and, as an educational psychologist, her role lies in helping the child explore their potential as well as in partnering parents and caregivers to build a holistic environment.
