Hoo Jia Ying
Early Intervention Teacher
Jia Ying graduated with a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelor of Education majoring in Special Needs Education at SEGi University, Malaysia. While undertaking her Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Jia Ying began working with students with special needs at an inclusive education-focused Kindergarten. Throughout this time, she was impressed by the profound impact quality education had on these students. Jia Ying maintained her involvement with children with special needs as she pursued her Bachelor of Education, continuing her commitment until the completion of her studies.
Jia Ying has 5 years of working experience working with children of different ages and needs. During her time working with students with special needs coping in a mainstream classroom, she learned how to support students with special needs in an inclusive setting. Consecutively, Jia Ying was also exposed and experienced in conducting one-to-one and home sessions for students with diverse needs.
Jia Ying believes that every child has a unique way of exploring the world, and as an educator, Jia Ying strives to provide support to help them shine in their own individual ways.
