Jocelyn Teng
Educational Psychologist
Jocelyn is an Educational Psychologist registered with the Singapore Register of Psychologist (SRP). With more than a decade of experience in child and educational psychology under her belt, Jocelyn’s has extensive experience working with children on a wide spectrum of issues.
Her 12-years career saw her work with clients of various ages from diverse backgrounds from Early Intervention Programmes for Infants and Children (EIPIC) Centres to Special Education (SPED) Schools and private clinics. Her past works in SPED schools includes initiating, designing, and implementing the first social integration project with a mainstream primary school and has presented her works at various local and overseas conferences. Jocelyn rose up the ranks as a Deputy Head and represented in various professional consultations at ministry level, such as the Professional Practice Guidelines used by MOE for psych- educational assessment and placement of students with special educational needs.
Jocelyn has a keen interest in early intervention, home-school partnership and parenting, partnering parents, caregivers, and teachers alike and imparting to them the knowledge, skills, and strategies to better understand and address their children’s developmental needs. She advocates holistic intervention plans that addresses the root cause of children’s challenging behaviours, with healthy relationships between parents, teachers, and children as a foundation for positive behavioural change.
