Speech Therapy

Communication is the Cornerstone of all Human Interaction

The ability to communicate effectively does wonders to boost one’s self-esteem and confidence. This is why we believe no child should be deprived of the ability to communicate their thoughts, emotions, and ideas to others. Speech therapy involves the management and treatment of conditions which affect a person’s ability to speak and communicate.

Our private Speech Therapists and Pathologists assess and provide intervention to help children with speech and language difficulties in Singapore. Through a customised therapy plan, we adopt a wide range of effective approaches and strategies to address each individual’s needs so as to promote their speech and language development. To ensure that your child is ready to make the best of their primary school years, MindChamps Allied Care – Speech Therapy uses specialised strategies to evaluate and support your child’s learning needs.

FEEDING AND SWALLOWING

Feeding Clinic

As a parent, it is always reassuring to see that your child eats well. However, feeding may be a challenge for some children due to various reasons. For young kids with speech and language difficulties or delays, communicating their needs during mealtimes can be even more complicated.

At MindChamps Allied Care, we offer feeding and swallowing therapy for new-borns to school-age children with feeding and/or swallowing difficulties. Our play-based programme is specially designed to help these little ones explore and discover different types of food, as well as guide parents and caregivers in supporting their child and achieving the objective of improving their diet.

Our team of experienced Speech and Occupational Therapists are well-equipped to provide various interventions to improve your child’s motor skills, develop age-appropriate feeding skills and many more.

Through this programme, guided by our multidisciplinary team of allied health professionals including Speech Therapists and Speech Language Pathologists, we aim to help both children and parents overcome these concerns and enjoy mealtimes!

Lastly, it is important for your child to be seen by a paediatrician in Singapore before visiting the feeding clinic. This is to rule out any underlying medical conditions which may be resulting in the feeding problems observed.

Hear From Our Parents

We decided to send our daughter Ellie for speech therapy as she was falling behind her peers in terms of her speech. Still, we were not sure if sending her for speech therapy will help her improve. But after a few months with Speech Therapist, Cher, we can unequivocally say that it works! Teacher Cher is a very engaging therapist who is excellent with kids and in just a few sessions with Ellie, we can already see the improvements. Even Ellie’s school teacher has observed the improvements as well. Apart from Ellie, we ourselves also benefited greatly from Teacher Cher’s advice on how we can teach and monitor her progress at home. Indeed, the speech therapy sessions are worth every cent!
