Suki Tong is a passionate, dedicated, engaging and inspiring educator with 21 years’ experience coaching children and adolescents from multicultural backgrounds, providing psychology, teaching, counselling, and training. Suki is based both in Singapore and Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

Suki is a dynamic facilitator with vision and provider of life skills training for teenagers at mainstream polytechnic level. She has collaborated with the Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF), Singapore in 2007 for the ideation, designing and co-authoring of the course “Love Relations for Life – a Journey of Romance, Love and Sexuality” for rollout at polytechnic level. The course ran in Singapore Polytechnic, Ngee Ann Polytechnic and Nanyang Polytechnic through 2007 to 2019. She has been interviewed in The Straits Times, Singapore; Channel News Asia, Singapore; Australian Broadcasting Corporation; The Herald Tribune; New Zealand Radio Networks; Denmark Broadcasting Corporation and Swiss TV and Radio Networks regarding conducting the course: “Understanding Relationships”

In addition to co-authoring courses, Suki Tong has had 20 years of experience working with children and teenagers faced with literacy challenges on a one-on-one basis. The work with the students has led to significant positive transformations in literacy rates for children with dyslexia and ADHD. Suki uses the Alpha to Omega approach in her teaching of literacy. The Alpha and Omega approach is a phonetic, linguistic approach to the teaching of reading, writing and spelling. It is a carefully structured programme and is ideal for pupils with dyslexic tendencies and/or spelling difficulties. Since March 2020, Suki has been delivering learning support services to students faced with literacy challenges on a one-on-one basis via Zoom.

Suki’s passion is in teaching. From teaching in the respective polytechnics, teaching Psychology modules to adult learners to working with students who are facing literacy challenges, it is always a wonderful experience being in the classroom. According to Suki, her greatest joy comes from witnessing her students’ progress in the classroom. She believes that a good teacher-student relationship provides a safe base for students to explore and learn.

Suki’s other passion is coaching. She is an empathetic child and adolescent student counsellor with compassion, working with children from underprivileged backgrounds and those with psychological needs.

She has worked effectively with children and adolescents from different nationalities with psychological needs. Suki uses an eclectic approach, combining psychology, music, art and photography in training. Suki is a certified Points of You© trainer.  Points of You® uses the medium of photography as a tool ideal for personal development, team building and improving communication. Suki has run online workshops via Zoom in USA on managing changes and coping with stress.

In addition to teaching and coaching, Suki has worked extensively with physical instructors from Outward Bound, Singapore.

When Suki is not at work, her other loves are music, aikido, running, writing and cooking. Suki is the author of book: “Quest of Love”. The book was published in the UK and was launched in Singapore Writers’ Festival in 2009.

Since September 2019, Suki has been a member of the Rotary Club, Summerlin, Las Vegas.
