Wan Xin possesses a rich reservoir of clinical experience spanning 15 years in the field of psychology. Commencing her professional journey, she dedicated herself to serving children and adults with special needs, subsequently extending her practice into the community, where she provided therapeutic support to children, adolescents, and families. Central to Wan Xin's approach is the integration of the attachment-focused model and trauma-informed care, which informs her therapeutic interventions. She maintains a steadfast belief that therapy serves as a temporary aid in facilitating clients' reintegration into functional living, emphasizing the pivotal role of a healthy family dynamic in the process of recovery. Wan Xin endeavours to cultivate an atmosphere of warmth and relaxation during sessions, particularly for young clients, employing play-based techniques to foster ease and engagement while addressing their concerns. In addition to her client-focused endeavors, Wan Xin serves as a part-time lecturer within the psychology program at SUSS (Singapore University of Social Sciences) and contributes her expertise to various courses offered at the Social Service Institute. Furthermore, she holds the distinction of being an approved clinical supervisor, actively engaged in mentoring and guiding students, social workers, counselors, and psychologists as they navigate their professional development journey.
