Shyon brings a wealth of expertise to his role as a Clinical Psychologist, boasting over 19 years of comprehensive experience across diverse sectors including public healthcare, government ministries, and educational institutions. Throughout his professional journey, Shyon has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to advancing the field, leveraging his profound understanding of attachment parenting, clinical psychology, evidence-based treatments, and stakeholder management to drive positive outcomes.
With an international background encompassing Singapore, the United Kingdom, and the USA, Shyon has cultivated a specialization in trauma and mood disorders, excelling particularly in addressing anxiety, depression, and learning difficulties among individuals grappling with conditions such as ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorder. His ability to tailor interventions to suit the unique needs of each patient underscores his dedication to delivering holistic and personalized care. In his capacity as a Clinical Psychologist, Shyon has managed a diverse caseload, ranging from adults to adolescents and young children facing behavioural and emotional challenges. His expertise extends to addressing complex issues such as inappropriate sexualized behavior, young offenders, victims of abuse, ADHD, oppositional defiant disorder, conduct disorder, autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disability, self-harm, and mood and anxiety disorders. Shyon adopts a client-centred, non-directive play therapeutic approach working with very young children. He has conducted social skills and emotion regulation skills groups with children and adolescents. He has conducted psychoeducation on ADHD for parents as well as public talks on building emotional resilience, mental health, protecting children from online sexual harm for teachers, parents, school counsellors, therapeutic group homes and community stakeholders.
